Health for Health Professionals Training
‘Health for Health Professionals’ is a training programme, designed to enable occupational physicians who see doctors as patients to develop enhanced skills. It is well recognised that the clinical and occupational health management of healthcare professionals, especially doctors, whose practice is affected by ill-health, requires additional competencies.
The main objective of the day is to offer an introduction to relevant and up to date issues that impact on doctors and medical students in the UK. The sessions will include the health, legal, and ethical issues that may arise when managing cases which are often complex. This is an introductory workshop to provide an overview of the topics and help participants to add to and improve their competencies. The workshop will feature interactive group work with a focus on participant needs and will include time to discuss case management.
The training will be led by Professor Debbie Cohen, HHP Lead for the FOM and Dr Anne de Bono, our President.
There are limited spaces available which will be allocated on a first come first served basis. This event is free of charge for FOM members. It is also open to non-members, including doctors working in other specialties with an interest in this area.
Charge for non-members is £35 +VAT
